What way Forward for the EU after BREXIT? 09/11/2016 H.E. Rüdiger Lüdeking, ambassador of Germany to Belgium.

On 9 November 2016, the IPLI Foundation was honored to support the Paul-Henri Spaak seminar series, organized by the Institute of European Studies at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL). In November, as part of this ongoing seminar series, UCL invited H.E. Rüdiger Lüdeking, ambassador of Germany to Belgium.

Prior to his current post in Belgium, prior posting for ambassador Lüdeking include the following : director general for economic affairs at the German embassy in London, deputy general director for nuclear disarmament at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin and permanent representative of Germany to OSCE.

During his presentation, ambassador Lüdeking discussed the vital importance of the European project and he discussed the position of Germany as a key member state in the EU which holds significant influence in formulation of European policies.  In particular, ambassador Lüdeking discussed the policy ramifications of BREXIT and its potential impacts on the future of the EU.
